Keith E. Grinnell, age 89 of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 in Ionia, at SKLD Nursing.
Keith loved being outdoors and was very good at fixing things. He was a cattle and cash crop farmer and also a marine mechanic at Strouses in Butternut. Keith proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the Sheridan VFW Post 5065, a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club, and a member of the Del Rey Camper Club. Keith took two memorable trips to Alaska and had over 40 years’ worth of Canadian fishing trips. He also enjoyed boating, camping, wintering in Florida, Arizona, and Texas. However, most of all Keith loved spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Surviving Keith is his wife of 66 years, Joan Grinnell; daughters, Cheryl (Bruce) Dykehouse of Canadian Lakes; Diane (Todd) Ring of Ashley; son, Russell (Penny) Grinnell of Sheridan; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one soon to be born great grandchild.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Elwin & Doreta (LaDue) Grinnell and his sister, Phyllis Grinnell.
A private family only celebration of Keith’s life is being planned for a later date. Keith will be laid to rest in Crystal Cemetery.
