Judy Kapteyn

Judy Kapteyn, 87, of Crystal, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018. Judy was born on February 1, 1931 in Capella, Netherlands, the daughter of William and Frederika (Funcke) Kapteyn.
In 1953 she married Peter Kapteyn in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and together they have enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Judy was a member of The Church at Carson City, having joined in 1985. She loved gardening, knitting, sewing, birdwatching, eating sweets, spending time with family and especially spoiling her grandchildren! A faithful servant of the Lord, she read her Bible every day, no exceptions!
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, her children; Margo (Ray) Kuipers of Crystal, Brenda (Rene) VanVreeswyk of California, Cindy (William) Morrow of Carson City, Bryan (Karen) Kapteyn of Holland, Fred (Mary Ellen) Kapteyn of Grand Rapids, Lex (Julie) Kapteyn of Carson City, 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers and many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers in law, and a grandson Toby VanVreeswyk.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 1pm at The Church at Carson City, 7217 S. Garlock Road Carson City, Michigan. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8pm at the church.
