Joyce Ann Wallace (Ehle)

Joyce A. Wallace, age 78, of Fenwick, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Lakeview Terrace in Lakeview.

On November 11, 1936, Joyce was born in Stanton the daughter of Merle & Ludell (Peterman) Ehle.

Joyce is proceed in death by her parents, her step-mother; Dorothy Ehle; husband, Donald K.Wallace; sister Patricia Hopkins; and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

She is survived by three daughters, Earline & Jim Ebels of Stanton, Dawn & Bob Wesley of Sheridan, Robin & Curt McCoy of Lakeview; two sons, Donald M. Wallace of Lansing and Matthew K. Wallace of Fenwick; two sisters, Virginia Nisonger of Delta, Ohio, Margaret & Gilbert Morris of Amsden; five brothers, Ed Ehle of Sidney, Fred & Joyce Ehle of Sheridan, Bernard & Rosie Ehle of Fenwick, Eugene & Rose Ehle of Stanton, Milo & Molly Ehle of Sheridan, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

One of nine children, Joyce loved to work outside and enjoyed mowing her lawn. She was a scrub nurse at the Sheridan ER, before moving to Central Supply at Sheridan Hopsital, where she retired from in 1996. Joyce was a big Detroit Tigers fan and loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services for Joyce are being held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan, with Mr. Gilbert Morris officiating. Visitation with Joyce’s family will also be on Tuesday, from 10 to 11 AM.

For those desiring to make a memorial donation, the family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Montcalm County Commission on Aging Journey Program and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
