Joyce Natalie McMichael

Joyce Natalie Geister Olsen McMichael, age 86, daughter of Robert and Ila Wetmore Geister, passed away on February 27, 2023 in Sebring, Florida.

Born in Elwell, Joyce attended school in Belding. She was a mother to four - Wesley, Keith, Jeff, and Lynn Olsen; a stepmother to five - Ronald, Michael, Daniel, Terri, and Gerald McMichael; grandmother to seventeen; great grandmother to twenty; and a great-great grandmother to five children. Joyce enjoyed quilting, she also admired glass work and antique glass.

Surviving Joyce is her husband, Ronald McMichael; children, Wes Olsen, Jeff Olsen, Lynn Olsen, Mike McMichael, Danny McMichael, Gerald McMichael, Terry McMichael; and all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by sons, Keith Olsen and Ron McMichael; siblings, Carl Geister (Mildred), Beatrice Chrysler (Ted), Edith Thatcher (Vern), Harmon Geister (Wilma), Blanch, Richard Geister (Hilda), Henry Geister (Eleanor), Michael Geister (Bonnie), Robert Geister (Ruth), Betty Geister, and Deloris (Steve).

A celebration of Joyce's life is being held on Saturday, March 18th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.), from 1 to 3 PM. A memorial luncheon will be held after the celebration of life, beginning at 3 PM at the Sheridan VFW Post (209 Washington St.).
