Joseph "Joe" Basney
December 10, 1949 — January 28, 2022
Joseph L. Basney, age 72, of Stanton, passed away at his home on Friday, January 28, 2022.
Joe proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.
Surviving Joe is his girlfriend, Tina Eggerten; son, Arron James; sister, Carolyn Snow; brothers, John Basney, Larry Basney, Richard (Arice) Basney, and David Basney; many nieces and nephews; and lots of great friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jr. & Lillie (Shelden) Basney; daughter, Kari Basney; and brother Steve Basney.
A celebration of Joe’s life is being held on Saturday, February 12th at the Sheridan VFW Post 5069 (209 Washington St.) from 1 PM - 3 PM. Please come and go as your schedule allows.
