John Kash

John Kash, or better known by his friends as “Johnny Kash”, age 54, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.
If you knew John, or just happened to meet him, it was very apparent to you within just a few minutes that his kids, grandkids, and even his former wife and her husband meant the world to him and he loved them all. John was an ASC Certified Master Technician and was arguably one of the best mechanics around. He had an infectious bellowing laugh and a personality that people were naturally drawn to. John’s door was always open to anyone who needed anything, and you knew he had your back. John was a great dad and while firm at times, he only wanted the best for his children. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. John loved to socialize with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, and golfing. He will be greatly missed by everyone and while he may not be here physically, his memory lives on in the lives of everyone he touched.
Surviving John are his children, Andrea Kash, Mariah Kash, Paul Kash and Abbygayle Kash all of Greenville, except Paul who is sort of homeless; his former wife and the mother of his children, Rachel (Kevin) Blumberg of Greenville; grandchildren, Cody, Nyra, Madelyn, Raychel; mother, Margaret Kash of Ohio; stepmother, Joyce Kash of Rockford; brother, Paul Kash of Florida; sister, Kami (Michael) Horricks of Rockford and his beloved dog, Peter The Great.
John is preceded in death by his father, Paul Kash.
John’s life is going to be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2020. A memorial motorcycle ride will leave from the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main Street) with kickstands up at 10:30 AM, cars will be able to follow the bikes. At 12 Noon, Military Rites will be conducted at the Greenville American Legion Post 101 (1320 W. Washington Street) and at 3 PM a Celebration of John’s life will be held at his home.
