Obituary for Jo Ann Regis

Jo Ann Regis, 83, died on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.

Jo was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1934. She graduated from Lansing Everett High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University.

On November 3, 1956, Jo married Arlen Regis, and two children, Joy and Lisa, soon followed. Jo and Arlen lived many years at Crystal Lake. They were charter members of the Crystal Lake Sail Club. Jo loved bowling, snowmobiling, quilting, knitting, boating and traveling in their RV. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jo was the Director of Nursing at Montcalm Community College for over 20 years.

Jo and Arlen celebrated 60 years of marriage with family and friends on November 3, 2016.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Margaret VanderMoere, brother and sister-in-law Edwin & Alice VanderMoere, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy & James Troy and brother-in-law Leon Howell.

Jo is survived by her husband, Arlen; daughters Joy & Tim Belt and Lisa & Steve Crouse, 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, stepmother Theodora Regis, sisters-in-law Mary Lou VanderMoere and Joyce Howell. Jo will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Jo’s family will be receiving friends and family on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM at Trinity Church in Stanton. A memorial service honoring and celebrating Jo’s life will begin at 11 AM with her Grandson, Pastor Ben Crouse officiating.
