Jim Peterman

Jim Peterman, age 68 of Sheridan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Michigan.
Jim’s smile always brought joy and happiness to his family and his laugh was infectious. He was full of infinite wisdom and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with everyone. The same could be said for his unconditional love and big heart, something he also shared freely with everyone. Jim was always up for a good time, loved to have fun, was the constant prankster, and loved a good joke. However, when he needed to be serious and get the job done, he was all business, solid as a rock, and Mr. Dependable. Jim also liked hunting, fishing, camping, and bowling, but most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them. Jim will be deeply missed by everyone and to his friends and family, “Wahoo and ring that bell!”
Surviving Jim is his wife, Brenda Peterman; daughters, Carrie (Dave) Werner of Wyoming; Tammie (Michael) Israels of Greenville; Jaimie (Dusten) VanBennekom of Greenville; grandchildren, Kristyna Petersen (Michael Dougherty) of Ada; Victoria Petersen of Wyoming; Kaitlyn (Dakota) Curtis of Kentwood; Timothy Bignell of Lyons; Hannah O’Berry of Greenville; Jared Israels of Ada; Kathryn VanBennekom (Justin Johnson) of Greenville; Jessica VanBennekom of Greenville; Rebecca VanBennekom (Chris Hoven) of Greenville; Bonnie VanBennekom of Greenville; Sean Evans of Sheridan; great grandkids, Kelsie; Ronin; Emersin; Scarlett; Ben; brothers, Bob Peterman of Howard City; Bill Peterman of Belding and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John & Gertrude (Ricketts) Peterman and a brother, Rich Peterman.
A memorial service celebrating Jim’s life will be held later this year. Jim will be laid to rest at Sidney Cemetery.
