James "Jim" Lee

James D. Lee, age 77, of Riverdale, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, in Grand Rapids at Spectrum Health Butterworth.

Jim loved to be outdoors and have a good time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his trips and adventures with his grandkids and his buddies, Wade, Ken, Gary, and Mike. Jim really liked going for road trips in his Polaris side-by-side and was frequently accompanied by his dog Smokey. He also liked to test his luck with scratch off lotto tickets and trips to the casino. Every Christmas Eve, Jim could be found at home making his homemade pizza.

Surviving Jim is wife, Bernadette of Riverdale; daughters, Tammy (Sam) McMeeken of Orleans; Shelly (Warren) Westbrook of Cedar Springs; Kristy (Robert) Dombkowski of Middleville; son, Troy Lee of Lyons; 10 grandkids; 2 great grandkids; brother, Dave Lee of Portland, Oregon; sister-in-law, Mary Lee of Lyons; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Smokey.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Pauline (Lanker) Lee; brothers, Larry Lee and Bob Lee; and mother-in-law, Beatrice Johnson.

Jim’s life is being celebrated on Saturday, July 24th the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 12-1 PM with a memorial service beginning at 1 PM.
