Jacqueline H. Sanderson, age 92, of Stanton, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Jackie and her husband Donald were the model for what love should look like and were not only spouses but best friends as well. In the 70 years they were married it was apparent they were soulmates and deeply in love. They also dearly loved their children, grandchildren, and recently the blessing of great grandchildren.
Jackie was a wonderful cook, very talented seamstress, and loved to crochet beautiful blankets, especially baby blankets. Some of her favorite activities were looking for jewelry treasures at garage sales with friends, gardening, and reading. Her gentle sweet nature drew family and friends to her and she will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving Jackie are her children, Kenneth Sanderson, Debra (Ed) Mahony, Scott Sanderson, and Lori Sanderson (Joe Rodriguez); grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jillene, Forrest, and Alexa; great grandchildren, Zachary, Eliza, and Isabella; her best friend, Dorothy Croyle; and lifelong family friend, Howard Rhodebeck.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sister, Lorraine Cooper; and brother, William Forrest.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Have Mercy (a homeless shelter and food pantry) at www.havemercymi.org in Jackie’s memory.
