Iva Jean Burge-Erridge, age 70 of Stanton, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
There are many words which could be used to describe Iva. Hard worker, Iva grew up on a farm and while she moved to the Brighton-Howell area for about 5 years, she longed for the country life and eventually moved back where she and her husband started EE Ranch raising beef cattle, as a farmer Iva was no stranger to hard work. Resourceful, Iva, could turn the old into new and repurpose just about anything. Giving, Iva believed in giving back and helping those who needed it, when her daughter became involved in Brownies and Girl Scouts, Iva volunteered to serve as a leader. However, the two best words which Iva was known by was mom and wife. She absolutely loved her family and will be deeply missed by everyone.
Surviving Iva is her daughter, Lene’ (David) Heinlen of Edmore; son, Tom (Geraldine) Burge of Sidney; grandchildren, Nick Heinlen of Edmore; Chris Burge of Monroe; Rachael Burge of Blanchard; Hyacinth Chavez and Ocean Chavez both of Sidney; great grandson, Thomas; sister, Ruth (Charlie) Church of Alma; brothers, Lawrence (Christina) Krantz of Moran; Loren (Peggy) Krantz of Stanton, Ralph (Vickie) Krantz of Trufant and many nieces and nephews.
Iva is preceded in death by her parents, Loren & Norma (Hammond) Krantz as well as her beloved husband, Mark Erridge.
