Irene Addis

Irene E. Addis, age 85 of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the home of her Grandson Paul.

She was born the daughter of Theodore & Ida (Badder) McCoy on February 5, 1932 in Bushnell Township. They precede her in death along with her husband, Neal; two daughters, Helen Addis and Marie Crebessa; brother, Jimmy McCoy; sister, Elaine Patterson; two grandsons, Mark McQueen and Neal Smith and one granddaughter, Diane McQueen.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Janet Jones of White Cloud; sons, Dale (Theresa) Addis of White Cloud, Danny (Marie) Addis of White Cloud; sisters, Doris Jeffers of Sheridan, Louella (Al) Adkins of Sheridan, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.

Irene is a lifelong resident of the Sheridan area. She was a great wife, wonderful mother and terrific grandma. She was always in attendance at her children’s activities and very supportive of their endeavors. In her younger years, she also enjoyed camping and square dancing.

Visitation with Irene’s family will be on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services for Irene will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Chris Austin officiating. Final internment will be next to her husband at Evergreen Cemetery.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Irene’s memory the family suggests donations be made to Sparrow Hospice and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
