Ina J. Ames, age 83 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Ina was a person who loved to laugh and enjoy life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, going to bingo, laughing the night away and going for rides and enjoying all the wildlife she could see. One of the things her family will remember her for is her loving of shopping, especially for shoes. In her younger days, Ina liked to go fishing with her husband and enjoyed crocheting. Ina was a life member of the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary and also the Vickeryville Methodist Church.
Surviving Ina is her daughter, LaDonna Doty & Glenn Greenhoe of Greenville; son, Tom & Wanda Doty of Hessel; grandchildren, Sgt. Riley & Jessica; LaTonya & Michael; Lisa Ann; Amanda; several great grandchildren and her beloved dogs and cats.
Ina is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Beulah (Griswald) Webb; her husband, Gerald Ames; infant son, Stevie; sister, Virgalene Brooks; several infant grandchildren and many pets.
In honoring Ina’s wishes private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.
