Ilene Dingman

Ilene F. Dingman, age 74 of Sheridan, passed away at her home on Friday, November 15, 2019 surrounded in love by her family.

Ilene was a person who loved her family. It didn’t matter if it was fishing on their weekend camping trips to the Maple River, cooking a big dinner on Sunday or watching her kid’s and grandkid’s events, Ilene enjoyed being around her family and doing things for them. Ilene also loved all things outdoors, she liked tending to her flowers, watching the birds and various wildlife and just enjoying the beauty of this world. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.

Surviving Ilene is her husband of 55 years, Merlin; her daughters, Laura (Joe) Alaria of Crystal; Sherrie (Rick) Johnson of Crystal; sons, Kim (Cherie) Dingman of Sidney; Darrin (Rose) Dingman of Stanton; grandchildren, Lori Ann Krebill of Sidney; Jamie (Zach) Maxwell of Edmore; Shaina (Dave) McCormick of Sumner; Krista Loper (Keith Davis) of Greenville; Ariel Loper (Anthony Alaria) of Sheridan; Kevin (Heather) Olsen of Sheridan; Derek Dingman (Hailee Chinevere) of Sheridan; Tyler Dingman (Dana Brom) of Sidney; Cody Dingman (Hollie Bowen) of Sumner; Brandon Loper of Sheridan; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Roberta Paradise and her friend, Eldon of Crystal; brothers, Al (Carol) Arntz of Edmore; Kyle (Dottie) Arntz of Alma; sister-in-law, Elaine Arntz of Perrington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry & Mary Dingman of Sheridan; sister-in-law, Pat Dingman of Carson City and longtime friend, Mary Jo Rasmussen of Stanton.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan & Lorena (Burke) Arntz; sister, Carolyn Arntz; brother, Roger Arntz; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clinton & Ina Dingman; nephew, Bill Dingman; brothers-in-law, Mervin Paradise and Russell Dingman.

A celebration of Ilene’s life is being held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar Street), in honoring Ilene’s request, everyone is asked to dress casual. For those wanting to donate in Ilene’s memory the family suggests you direct those donations to the American Cancer Society or to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
