Obituary for Helen E Plath (Spicer)

Helen E. Plath, age 93 of Carson City, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

Born in Lansing on September 17, 1922, the daughter of Willard & Emma (Merritt) Spicer, Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald in 1979, son Tommy, eight brothers and sisters and her son-in-law Richard Bohen.

A very hard worker, Helen was a very loving and giving person. A longtime resident of Sheridan and Carson City, she loved to dance, spend time with her family, go fishing and camping. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma and an absolutely great cook. She loved her family very much and will be missed by everyone, but will now be dancing in heaven with Don.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Bohen of Carson City and Peggy & Douglas Beagle of St. Johns; four sons, Donald & Carol Plath of El Cajon, California, Charles & Valerie Plath of Carson City, Douglas & Barbara Plath and Jon & Elizabeth Plath both of Sheridan; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation with Helen’s family and her funeral services are being held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 with visitation starting at 10 AM and funeral services beginning at 11 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Final interment will be next to her husband at the Evergreen Cemetery in Sheridan.
