Harold L. Schultz, age 64 of Stanton passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. He was born on September 20, 1950 in Lakeview, the son of Harold & Pluma (Ridgeway) Schultz. Both parents have preceded him in death.
On March 22, 1969, Harold was married to Connie Peterman and she survives in addition to their children, Gerry & Amy Schultz of Stanton, Angie & Eric Sorenson of Webberville, Andy (Boog) Schultz of Stanton, 8 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Jakob, Breanna, Matthew, Megan, Madison and Jared, 2 sisters, Linda Jacobs of Brethren, Lorry & Terry Rugg of Vermontville, 3 sisters in law, Fay & Daryl Williams of Stanton, Sherri & David Jeffrey of Sheridan, Sandra & Veldra Raines of Stanton, 2 brothers in law, Wayne Peterman of Riverdale, Alan & Twayla Peterman of Grawn plus several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were his mother and father in law, Roger & Wanda Peterman and a brother in law, Gary Jacobs.
Harold was a longtime resident of Sheridan before moving to Stanton. He was employed as a support coordinator for the Ionia County Mental Health Department. Harold loved Central Montcalm football and assisted the team on the sidelines for many years. His first love however was his family, especially the grandkids and will be missed by all of them.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM will be held on Monday, September 29th at the First Congregational Church in Stanton with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Interment will be at the Sidney Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan on Sunday, September 28th from 4 until 6 PM where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
For those desiring to do so, there will be envelopes available at the funeral home for memorial considerations to the family.
