Harlan Dahlgren

Harlan P. Dahlgren, age 86 of Denair, California, entered his eternal home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Harlan was born the son of Knut & Ruth (Anderson) Dahlgren and they, along with his wife, Carolyn (Adams) Dahlgren, and sister Norma Klaschus, have preceded him in death.

Surviving Harlan is his daughter, Christine (Neil) Pettifor of Orleans, Michigan; son, Andrew “Alan” Dahlgren of Coulterville, California; grandchildren, Elisabeth (Richard) Mapel; Jeremiah Pettifor; Rebecca Pettifor and Nathanael Pettifor; sister, Arlene Abel of Hickman, California, sister-in-law, Margaret (Jerry) Hall of Modesto, California, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harlan proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a charter member of the Monte Vista Chapel and could often be found running the sound system at church on Sundays. He enjoyed flying model airplanes and was a member of the Turlock Radio Control Club. Harlan enjoyed going to coffee with friends several times a week. Harlan was a history lover and a Civil and World War buff. He and his wife traveled the United State extensively, visiting national parks as well as many Civil War sites and locations.

Visitation and funeral services for Harlan are being held in California and he will be laid to rest at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California.
