H. "Peg" Cable

H. Arlene “Peg” Cable, age 78 of Stanton, passed away on Friday, November 26th at her home. She was born on August 19, 1932 in Stanton, the daughter of William & Edith P. (Weatherby) Johnston.
On November 11, 1950, Peg was married to Charles “Don” Cable Sr. and he preceded her in death as well as an infant daughter, Linda, her parents, William & Edith and three brothers, Andrew, Clarence and Kenneth Johnston.
Surviving are her two children, Barbara Cable of Stanton and Charles & Kim Cable Jr. of Crystal plus three beautiful granddaughters, Erin Marie Cable of St. Johns, Casey Ann Cable of Hubbardston and Kylee Jo Cable of Crystal, all three of whom, were the delight of her life. In addition, she leaves two sisters, Katherine Smith of Sidney and Mary Fisk of Edmore.
Peg, formerly of Edmore, has been a resident of the Stanton area since 1967. She retired from White Consolidated Industries in Belding due to a disability.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29th beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Interment will be at the McBride Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 28th from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
