Gregory "Greg" Reese

Gregory Reese, age 63, of Grand Ledge, formally of Stanton, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing after a brief battle with cancer.

Greg loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He was an extremely hard worker who also liked playing cornhole, card games, cribbage, and playing bingo with his wife. Greg loved watching sporting events and was a big U of M fan - “Go Blue”. However, most of all, Greg loved his family, especially his grandkids and he was their biggest fan at all their events. Greg will be dearly missed by everyone.

Surviving Greg is his dad, Tom Reese of Stanton; wife, Pam Reese of Grand Ledge; daughter, Peggy (Jim) Blaszak of Comstock Park; son, Phil (Ashley) Reese of Sidney; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Olivia, Adley, Hunter, and Kenzie; brothers, Randy (LeeAnn) Reese of Stanton and Scott (Tammi) Reese of Stanton; sister-in-law, Geraldine Allen of Lansing; brothers-in-law, Terry Riley of Lansing, Dan (LeighAnn) Riley of Minnesota, John Riley of Kansas City, Gary Riley of Lansing, and Larry Riley of Lansing; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his best friends, Bob & Brenda Klingbeil of Sheridan.
Greg was preceded in death by his mom, Lorraine Reese; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William & Helen Riley; and a brother-in-law, Bill Riley.

Visitation for Greg is being held on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). To honor Greg the family requests everyone wear maize and blue to the visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic Church in Stanton (991 E. Main St.) on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, beginning at 11 AM.
