Greg W. Lane

Greg “Doc” Lane, age 62, of Sheridan passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.

He was born the son of Wayne & Eleanor (O’Berry) Lane on January 30, 1954 in Sheridan and is proceeded in death by his father; daughter, Penney Lane and brother, Dennis “Buzzy” Lane.

Greg is survived by his mom, Eleanor Lane of Sheridan; daughters, Sandi Lane of Burton, Katie Lane of Grand Rapids, Karish Lane of Belmont; five grandchildren, Triston Graves of Sheridan, Brennon Lane of Sheridan, Amber Locke of Burton, Heather Beach of Burton, Izabelle Moleski of Burton; great grandson Liam Herderich of Burton; sister, Lori (Tony) Brace of Sheridan; brothers, Mike “Harley” (Becky) Lane of Sheridan, Doug “Burr” (Norrine) Lane of Sheridan and many nieces and nephews.

Greg was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hunting and fishing. Greg was an ASE Master Mechanic and if it had an engine, Doc could fix it. Greg loved his family always putting their needs ahead of his own. He was very generous man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Greg will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Greg’s family will be receiving friends for a visitation on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Evergreen Free Methodist Church from 5 to 6 PM with a memorial service celebrating Greg’s life beginning at 6 PM with Pastor Jim Vandewarker officiating. Greg will be laid to rest next to his daughter Penney in Evergreen Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations made in Greg’s memory can be made to the family and envelopes will be available at the church.
