Gerald R Sanders

Gerald R. Sanders, age 77, of Stanton passed away at his home. He was born the son of Ernest & Rosa (Youngs) Sanders on September 8, 1937 in Stanton, both of whom have proceed him in death.

In addition, Gerald was proceeded in death by one sister, Agnes Swanson and one brother, Leland Sanders.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Terri & Marty Kowalski of Dafter, Michigan, two sons, Danny Sanders of Cross, South Carolina, Scott & Vanessa Sanders of Hart, Michigan, four grandchildren, Rex, Gus, Wynn and Jerome Sanders, one sister, Wilma Greening of Grand Rapids and three brothers, David & Diane Sanders of Trufant, Norman & Beverly Sanders of Fenwick and Dale & Carol Sanders of Greenville.

Gerald has been a resident of the Stanton area since 1985, formally of the Trufant & Greenville area. He retired from Tower Automotive, was a member of the N.R.A and loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and playing baseball.

Visitation with Gerald’s family will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan, Michigan. In honoring Gerald’s wishes there will be no funeral services held and private family burial will take place at a later time at the Entrican Cemetery.
