Gary Villet, age 79, of Blanchard, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Spectrum Health Blodgett in East Grand Rapids.
If you knew Gary personally, there were a few things you learned from him. For example, pants should be hiked a minimum of 6 inches above the waistline; not that he had much of one. A plain white t-shirt was more than the perfect fashion statement, it was the perfect canvas for spills, stains, and holes. There is virtually nothing that gravy can’t make better! Don’t bother tasting your food first to know if it needs more salt, everything needs more salt. There were innumerable great music artists, but the best of the best were Little Richard, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, and The Flamingos. Doo-Wop isn’t music, it’s religion. There is no better joke than a dad joke. And no better place than home. Gary, his sense of humor, and his wisdom will be dearly missed by everyone.
Surviving Gary is his wife Wanda; sons, Ryan (Karen) Villet of Stanton and Trevor (Jacqueline) Villet of Towson, Maryland; grandchildren, Reagan Villet of Nashville, Tennessee, Sophie Villet of Nutley, New Jersey, Kate Villet of Towson, Maryland, Jolie Villet of Towson, Maryland, and Evelyn Villet of Stanton; and his sisters, Gloria Blommer of Woodhaven and Patsy Keller of Woodhaven.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphe & Virginia (Beghin) Villet.
A celebration of Gary’s life is being planned for a later date.
