Gary Kosten

Gary Kosten, 64, of Sheridan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Gary was born on May 3, 1956 in Carson City, the son of Gerald and Leona (Mosier) Kosten.

Gary loved being around his family. He was always happy to spend time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Whether it was just being around them, watching them grow or watching them race at the track, he was always there. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and could be counted on if you ever needed a helping hand. He had a giant heart and was always there to help out anyone in need. In 2018 Gary retired from JG Truckings after being an owner operator for 12 years. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Surviving Gary are his children; Amy (Jason) Day of Sheridan, Jennifer (Stanley Bragg) of Otsego, his mother; Leona Kosten, his grandchildren; Paige Day of Crystal, Andrew Day of Sheridan, Terry Day of Sheridan, Alexis Pugh of Sidney, Trenton Pugh of Sidney, Kadence Pugh of Sidney, great grandchildren; Claire Hilderbrant and Riley Hone, his siblings; Diane (Rick) Kimball of Sidney, Linda (Bryan) Kimball of Stanton, along with many other extended family and friends.

A time to celebrate Gary’s life will be announced in the future, memorial contributions in memory of Gary may be directed to the family as they cope with his sudden passing.
