Gary Edgecombe, age 61 of Vestaburg, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Gary had many hobbies and interests in his life. His first and foremost favorite was his family, especially his kids and grandkids. He and his wife would take the grandkids every year to the Lapeer area for their annual family camping. Gary was an avid about working out and staying in shape. At the age of 40 he entered his first tough man contest, where he took 3rd place. He was also a Pastor and worked with the M46 Tabernacle Family Ministries Food Pantry. Gary also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the spoons.
Surviving Gary is his wife, Joyce; daughters, Kelli (Leon) Patch of Vestaburg; Simone (Cory) DuBry of Vestaburg; grandchildren, Trevor Patch; Halee Patch; Mariah Schollaert and a soon to be born grandchild, Baby DuBry; sister, Kris (Rod) Robbins of Harbor Springs; brothers, Bugs (Linda) Edgecombe of Edmore; Barry (Susan) Edgecombe of Gladwin; mother-in-law, Donna Marvin of Vestaburg; nieces, Jennifer and Amanda; nephew, Stephen; and many cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin & Patsy (Hammond) Edgecombe; brother, Larry Edgecombe; and his father-in-law, Louis Marvin.
Private family graveside services are taking place at Ferris Center Cemetery on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to the family as they deal with Gary’s sudden passing.
