Gary Closson

Gary Closson, age 82, of Stanton, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, under the loving care of his family and Promedica Hospice.

Gary liked being outdoors and really enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his John Deere tractors, watching football, and he especially enjoyed having fun and spending time with his family and friends. Gary will be greatly missed by everyone.
The family would like to thank Terry & Deb Thomsen and Gary & Gail Hansen for the help and care they provided Gary these past few months.

Surviving Gary is his wife of 55 years, Patricia; daughter, Colleen (David) Ryman of Newaygo; sons, Duane (Gloria) Closson of White Cloud, Steve (Bonnie) Closson of Saranac, Brian (Michelle Sabin) Closson of Sidney; grandchildren, Kaylee, Stephanie, Eric, Kendra, Kayla, and Shelby; lots of great grandchildren; and his sister, Jan (Steve) Lawrence of Sun City, Florida.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley & Rita (Carter) Closson; sister, Joyce Reed; and his brother, Bob Closson.

Graveside services celebrating Gary’s life are being held on Saturday, May 14th at 11 AM at North Sidney Cemetery.
