Gail A. Ravell, age 59 of Fenwick passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born on November 28, 1955 in Carson City, the daughter of Louis “Bud” & Alice (Demenov) Spaniolo. Her father, Louis (Bud) Spaniolo has preceded her in death.
On January 15, 1977, Gail was married to Mark A. Ravell and he survives in addition to their children, Renae & David Simpson of Grand Rapids, Amanda & Jason Bricker of Rockford, Hilary & Bryce Butler of Ionia, Spencer Ravell of Fenwick, 3 grandchildren, Cole & Aubrey Simpson, Nolan Bricker, her mother, Alice Spaniolo of Carson City, her siblings, Jean Cullimore of Grand Ledge, Jill Spaniolo of Ypsilanti, Anne Havens of Carson City, John Spaniolo of Kentwood, Tom & Jean Spaniolo of Cedar Springs, Chris Spaniolo of Charleston, SC, her in-laws, Ken & Becky Ravell of Belding and several nieces and nephews.
Formerly of Carson City, Gail has been a resident of the Fenwick area where she and her husband, Mark own and operate the Ravell Orchards. Gail graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids with an associate degree and formerly worked for the Sheridan Clinics.
A Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carson City. Interment will be at the Palo Cemetery in Palo.
Visitation with the family will be at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan on Tuesday, December 16th from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 PM where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the Greenville Cancer Center Services, 615 S. Bower Street, Greenville, MI 48838. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
