Flossie Brown

Flossie H. Brown, age 102, formerly of Fenwick and Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Greenville. She was born on November 6, 1911 in Sheridan, the daughter of Eugene & Lena (Bennett) Sinclair.
On August 4, 1944, Flossie was married to Robert E. Brown and he preceded her in death in 1985. Also preceding her were her parents and her sister, two brothers and two nephews.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Ann Warner of Sheridan, Melvin & Caroline Sinclair of Fenwick, Ormand & Janet Staines of Fenwick and Carlton & Pat Staines of Elkhart, Indiana.
Flossie was a lifelong resident of the Fenwick and Sheridan areas. As a member of the Fenwick United Methodist Church, she was the church pianist for many years. In addition, she was part of the “Geritol Gang” who entertained young and old alike at many different venues.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM will be held at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan on Friday, July 25th with Pastor Larry Nalett offciating. Interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery in Sheridan.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM; one hour prior to the funeral service.
For those desiring to do so, memorial considerations can be made to the Fenwick Methodist Church or the Montcalm County Commission on Aging. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
