Fern M Jensen (Fern M. Harper)

Fern M Jensen, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Sidney, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the age of 81.

She was born on October 29, 1933 in Breckenridge, Michigan the daughter of Russell & Tressa (Horning) Harper. They along with 2 brothers, 1 sister and a granddaughter have proceeded her in death.

On August 1, 1953, in Edmore, Fern married Lawrence Jensen, and became a farmer’s wife. Lawrence survives along with their children, Nancy Venneman of Stanton, Barbara & Ernest Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rex & Frances Jensen of Bradenton, Florida, Gary Jensen & Sally Austin of Gowen and Roger Jensen of Fenwick; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and her sister Audrey Hamlin of Oscoda, Michigan.

Fern is remembered as a loving wife, fabulous mother, and affectionate grandmother and great grandmother.

Memorial services for Fern are being held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Sidney, Michigan beginning at 11 AM with Pastor Betsy Kamphuis, officiating. Final interment will be at the Sidney Cemetery in Sidney, Michigan.

For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Fern’s memory, the family has suggested memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association and envelopes will be available at the church.
