Evelyn Collins, age 89, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 27, 2021.
Evelyn loved growing things in her garden and tending to her house plants. She loved animals of all kinds, was a very dependable person and ready to help anyone who was in need. However, most of all, Evelyn loved her family and will be deeply missed by everyone.
Surviving Evelyn are her daughters, Cindy Fletcher of Sheridan, Ellen Wilson of Sheridan; son, Tom Wilson of Sheridan; grandchildren, Ember (Jeremy) Elliott of Oklahoma, Nate (Beth) Richardson of Greenville, K.C. Richardson of Sheridan, Bobby Howard of Sheridan; many great grandchildren; sisters, Margie Bogart of Carson City, June (John) Leland of Orleans, Nila (Terry) Minier of Ionia, Edith Saxton of St. Louis, Rose Collins of Ionia; brothers, Verl (Sally) Collins of Howard City, Lynn (Marilyn) Collins of Morley; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arze & Dorothy (Goodwin) Collins; daughter, Susan; sisters, Donna Wireman and Helen Greenhoe; brothers, Rusty Collins and Dick Collins.
Funeral services for Evelyn are being held on Sunday, October 3rd, beginning at 2 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.) with Pastor Phil VanDop officiating. Final interment will be at Sheridan Cemetery.
