Erven Brokaw Sr.

Erven Harvey Brokaw, age 78 of Fenwick passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 10, 2017 in Ionia, Michigan.

He was born the son of Harvey & Wava (Fisher) Brokaw in Fenwick on July 27, 1938 and they along with a granddaughter, Angel Rose and a grandson, Haidan precede him in death.

Erven loved farming the land he was born on. At the age of 17 until the year 2001 he was a dairy farmer. After retiring from the dairy, he went on to cash crop farming, which he was still doing. Just last week he was driving tractor and bailing hay and he always seemed the happiest whenever he could drive a tractor, but his greatest love was his family and he will be greatly missed by everyone.

Erven has four children with his first wife, Faye; sons, Scott and Erven Jr.; daughters, Tammy and Debbie; two children with his second wife, Mary; sons, Richard and Travis; two children with his third wife, Shirley; son Andy and daughter Brandi. He has twenty-four grandchildren, Kevin, Dani, Cody, Mike, Heather, Kourtney, Thomas, Megan, Makayla, Justin, Abby, Amanita, Autumn, Brennan, Annabell, Cheyenne, Sky, Issiah, Issiac, Aidan, Adrain, Zaidan, Gavin and Gracie. He also has many great grandchildren. Erven has two sisters, Wanda and Madlynn and a brother Ronald.

A private celebration of Erven’s life will be held at a later date.
