Elizabeth Swift, age 79, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Elizabeth was a strong, self reliant and an elegant woman. She adored tasteful fashion and relished shopping. She will always be remembered by her spitfire demeanor and whose company was always reveled in. “I’m not a b****, I’m a diva!”, was often Elizabeth’s motto. She was just that, a diva. Her smile was always beaming and delighted in many great laughs. Her soul was young, her heart was kind and her words were always well spoken. Elizabeth was an amazing mother and even more amazing grandmother. She will always remain in the hearts who loved her the most.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Shelly Ogden of Sheridan; sons, Dean (Penny) Ogden of Ionia, Tim Ogden of Saranac, Joe (Christina) Ogden of Ionia, and Nick (Kathy) Ogden of Fenwick; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and her companion, Lynn Ritz of Fenwick.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, John & Mardell (Linder) Flannery; son, Troy Ogden; husband, Stewart Swift; sister Mary Reeder; and brother Larry Flannery.
A celebration of Elizabeth’s life is being held on Wednesday, March 30th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.) from 10 AM to 12 noon and you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.
