Elizabeth “Liz” Link, age 39 of Verona, Illinois, formerly of Stanton passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from injuries sustained in a house fire.
There is a famous quote which says, “We can’t control the winds, but we can adjust our sails” and that fits Elizabeth to a T. She was an adventurous person who loved a challenge and was never afraid to try new things, even if it meant going outside her comfort zone. Elizabeth was a 1998 graduate of Central Montcalm High School and it didn’t matter how many times she moved or where she moved to, Elizabeth always landed great jobs everywhere she went. She was a passionate person who was a very agreeable person, just as long as you agreed with her. When she entered a room, everyone knew it, be it from her warm smile, stunning beauty or her eyes, which would just light everything up. Elizabeth loved celebrating her birthday and would often begin the countdown to her next one the day after. She enjoyed all sorts of sports and especially liked the Chicago Cubs, and U of M football. Singing karaoke was another thing Elizabeth really liked to do and when she sang, she would wow people with her voice and was a natural performer. However, most of all, Elizabeth loved her family and her son, Hayden, nieces, and nephews held a special place in her heart and she thoroughly enjoyed all the times spent with them.
While her family is absolutely devastated by her death, they are comforted knowing Elizabeth had unwavering faith in her Lord and that they will one day see her again in heaven.
Surviving Elizabeth is her mom and step-dad, Kim & Brian Jensen of McBride; her dad and step-mom, Sam & Trisha Jurden of Greenville; son, Hayden Link and his father, Andy Link both of Elkmont, Alabama; grandparents, George & Jeannette Jackson of Stanton; grandma, Lela “Dege” Jurden of Greenville; sisters, Danielle Hall of McBride; Katelynn & Quinton Allcock of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; her “most favorite” brother, Jacob & Shannon Jurden of Pinckney and many aunts and uncles; lots of cousins and a tremendous amount of friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her grandpa, Buster Jurden; uncle, Dan Senn and cousin, Breylon Senn.
