DuWaine “Ed” Edward Cullimore, died December 30, 2021, at his home in Apache Junction, Arizona at the age of 93.
Ed was Born April 18, 1928, in Lansing, Michigan. Ed spent over 40 years in the Army and National Guard. He was a helicopter pilot as well as Airfield Commander at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. He retired at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 04. He was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, which he was a member of for many years. Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating, as well as RVing from coast to coast, and flying his own plane. Ed will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
Ed is proceeded in death by his parents, Zelin “Doc” and Christine Cullimore; four brothers, Jim Cullimore, Leon Cullimore, Dean (Elaine) Cullimore, and Tom Cullimore; two sons, Henry Lootens and Edward Cullimore; daughters-in-law, Kris Cullimore, Coralynn Lootens, and Anne Cullimore; one son-in-law Leon Humphrey, and two brothers-in-law, Al Strine and Fred Matheny.
Ed is survived by his wife, Jill Cullimore; children, Robert (Debra) Cullimore, Donald Cullimore, William (Jean) Cullimore, Michael (Jaye) Cullimore, Patricia Humphrey, Julia Lootens, Chuck Lootens, Pamela Cullimore, Tracee Willette, Tammy Dilsworth, Theresa Tubbs, Angela (Joel) Jennings; two sisters, Virginia Strine and Janet Matheny; two daughters-in-law, Carol Lootens and Dottie Cullimore, three sisters-in-law, Joanne Cullimore, Sally Cullimore and Karen Cullimore; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Ed’s life is being held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.) from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
