Donna Kimball, age 87 of Fenwick, passed away at her son’s home on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
If you were to look up the word “selfless” or “giving” in the dictionary, you just might find a picture of Donna. Throughout her life she was always willing to help others, give back, and help make the world a better place. As a 4-H leader for many years she taught valuable life skills to many kids. As a member of the Vickeryville United Methodist Church she would bake and sell hundreds of pies each year, raising money for kids to go to church camp, and with her position as a social worker for the State of Michigan for over 30 years, Donna helped countless numbers of other people. Donna was also a very crafty person and loved to sew. Many of her pies were made at her camper up north where she would go to relax and bake. Her kids and grandkids were a big priority in her life too, it didn’t matter what the event was or how long it took, if her kids or grandkids were participating in it, Donna was always there. While she didn’t really enjoy flying, Donna always took two trips a year to see her grandchildren who lived in Arizona. Donna’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of her family but the memories she leaves behind will be cherished for years to come.
Surviving Donna are her daughters, JoJean (Ken) Eastman of Gowen; Patricia Coston of Greenville; Jackeline (Marty) Weitzel of Belding; Rebecca (Bryon) Gurney of Mesa, Arizona; sons, Kermit Coston of Fenwick; Alan (Betty) Coston of Lake Odessa; Rodney (Denise) Coston of Fenwick; brother, Richard (Caroline) Bradish of Ashburn, Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
