Donna Jeffrey

Donna Ruth Jeffrey, age 79 of Sheridan passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born on December 11, 1934 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Herman & Cornelia (Becker) Kosten. Both parents have preceded her in death.
On June 4, 1952, Donna was married to Cecil J. Jeffrey and enjoyed 53 years of marriage before he passed away on June 29, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mickey and four brothers, Red, Junior, Dave and Bob.
Surviving are her children, James & Beverly Jeffrey, Steven & Gale Jeffrey and Craig & Nancy Jeffrey, all of Sheridan, 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, three sisters, Ellen Clements of Carson City, Marilyn & Wayne Adams of Sheridan, Carol Rydahl of Sidney and one brother, Kenneth & Peggy Kosten of Sheridan.
Donna has been a lifelong resident of the Sheridan area and was retired from Gibson’s. In the last 4 years, she enjoyed the company and activities at the Montcalm Senior Center, watching Gunsmoke and Tiger baseball. She will be missed by all of her loved ones and leaves an empty hole in our hearts, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM will be held on Saturday, July 26th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 25th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the Montcalm Commission on Aging Senior Center. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
