Diane L. Mogdis, age 73, of Stanton, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Diane lived and worked in the Ann Arbor area until moving to Clifford Lake in 1991. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with her degree in Elementary Education. After her retirement from full time teaching, Diane remained active in education by working as a substitute teacher at Central Montcalm schools in the Kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms. Diane was also currently serving as the Executive Secretary for the Central Montcalm Community Foundation, a position she has held since 2002. She was also very active in the Clifford Lake Improvement Association and was a past secretary of that board in the 1990’s and 2000’s. One of her favorite pastimes was knitting and the afghans she made are now treasures to the people she gave them to. Diane will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Surviving Diane is her husband, Franz; daughters, Melissa (Adam Acito) Fuller of Ypsilanti and Kim (Gary) Horton of Ypsilanti; sister, Barb (Spence) Reitz of Swartz Creek; brother, Tom (Shirley) Jewell of Winter, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.
