Diana Finnerty

Diana Lynn Finnerty, age 65 of Crystal, passed away on January 13, 2020 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Diana was born on June 14, 1954 in Cheboygan, Michigan. She was a dedicated mother and loved to spend time with people, especially her granddaughter! She loved to watch soap operas and to cook, she would always cook homemade pizza whenever her family came home. She worked at the Blanchard Thriftway for 14 years as a cashier and would get recognized wherever she went by her customers. She loved to be outdoors and really loved a good bon fire with friends and family. On May 24, 2003 she married Dennis Finnerty after being together for over 17 years, and now have enjoyed 16 years of marriage. Diana was the key that held her family together and she will be greatly missed by everyone she knew.

Surviving Diana is her husband; Dennis, her mother; Barb Hatt of Cheboygan, her sons; Corey (Sheri Lynn) Ommen of Ionia, Billy Ommen of Lansing, her granddaughter; Payton Carlyne Marie Ommen, a special cousin; Karen Spencer, as well as many other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father; David Hatt and her brothers; Jim and Dave Hatt.

In keeping with Diana’s wishes, no formal ceremony will be held. Memorial contributions in memory of Diana may be given to the family as they cope with her passing.
