Dennis Fountaine

Dennis R. Fountaine, 68, of Stanton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
The son of Walter and Louise (Phinney), Dennis was born on June 11, 1946 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, John Bush; mother-in-law Annette Bush and a sister-in-law Valerie Newman.
On March 3, 1967, Dennis married the former Marilyn Bush and together they have two sons; Derek & Sarah Fountaine of Lowell and Travis & Summer Fountaine of Cumberland, WI all of whom survive him.
In addition, Dennis is survived by four grandchildren, Gavin and Torin Fountaine of Cumberland, WI and Hannah and Holly Fountaine of Lowell; five sisters, Betty & Jack Lewis of Whitehall, Joyce & Ray Winnie of Greenville, Nancy Jenkins, Kathy & Joe Knight and Lori Wiley all of Belding; twelve sister and brother-in-laws, Karen & Art Ritenburgh of Pentwater, Linda & Dave Wheeler of Virginia, Donna & Greg Oestrich of Hancock, John & Terri Bush of Ionia, Janice & Clay Parker of Belmont, Nancy & Jim Schrauben of Portland, Tom & Alice Bush of Lowell, Ted & Therese Bush of Greenville and Lois & Jerry Paulson, Barbara & Tom Fagerlin, Larry & Debbie Bush, Marty & Sheryl Bush all of Belding.
Dennis loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and wilderness canoe trips and will be missed by his friends and family.
Funeral services for Dennis will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Stanton First Congregational Church beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating.
Visitation for Dennis will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. For those desiring to make a memorial donation in Dennis’s memory, the family has suggested donations be made to Heartland Hospice and envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
