Deloris Lund, age 84, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Masonic Pathways in Alma.
Deloris was a lifelong resident of the Sheridan area. She worked at Sheridan Hospital for 20 years and at the Sheridan IGA. She and her late husband, “Swede” enjoyed going for motorcycle rides, snowmobiling, taking color tours, and trying their luck at the casino. Deloris also enjoyed joking around with everyone and she was also a great cook and fabulous baker. However, the thing Deloris loved the most was her family and she loved the time she got to spend with them.
Surviving Deloris is her daughter, Rickie (Doug) Alexander of Sheridan; son, Danny (Colleen) Lund of Belding; grandchildren, Amy (Brad) Throop of Stanton; Lori Williams of Stanton; Rachael Lund of Grand Rapids; Heather Lund (Thomas Zieba) of Dillon, Colorado; great grandchildren, Grant Zieba; Emily Throop; Logan Throop; Hoyt Parker; sister, Norma (Paul) Horn-Bollinger of Carson City; sisters-in-law, Kathy Ross of Ionia; Phyllis Ross of Carson City; Judy Ross of Greenville; Marge Lund of Greenville and many nieces and nephews.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Nellie (Jeffrey) Ross; husband, Leonard Lund; brothers, Harold Ross; Gary Ross; Mike Ross.
Visitation for Deloris will be on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 4 to 7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St).
Funeral services for Deloris will be on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan beginning at 1 PM with Pastor Jim Vandewarker officiating. Final interment will be Evergreen Cemetery.
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in memory of Deloris the family suggests you direct them to the Central Montcalm Community Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday.
