David Meyer, 58, of Ionia, passed away on July 18, 2019 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. When trying to describe David, many things come to mind. His love of music; especially rock, his Z28 Camaro, dirt bikes, snow mobiling, riding bicycles, being a hard worker, having an affinity for the Detroit Red Wings and the Tigers, being active at his church, the list can go on, but nothing describes David like the love he had for his family. They meant the world to him, and he loved spending time with all of them.
David is loved and survived by his children; Shelby Meyer (John Reyes), Ethan Meyer, his sister; Pat (Bob) Myers, his brothers; Robert Meyer, Stan Meyer, Al (Sharon) Meyer, John (Carol) Meyer, his friend and the mother of his children; Denise Meyer, his best friend; Mark Larsen, his dogs; Rory, Alex, and Carter, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. David is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Lorraine Meyer.
Visitation for David will be on Tuesday July 23rd from 5pm-9pm at Simpson Family Funeral Homes, Stanton (225 West Cedar Street). A memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday at Lifestream Free Methodist Church, 800 Maryland Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
