Daniel Leroy Miller, age 78, of Fenwick, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, in Lansing.
Known for his outgoing and friendly personality, Dan was always happiest when with a crowd. He and his fiance’, Florence, toured the U.S. singing country music and he will be inducted into the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame in August 2022. Dan had a strong work ethic, retiring from Electrolux after 40+ years. He loved nature and being outdoors on his farm; may it be hunting, fishing, walking the trails, or in his truck. But, more than anything, Dan loved his children and grandchildren.
Surviving Dan is his fiance’ Florence Johnston of Fenwick; daughters: Mary (Joe) Montalvo of Little Neck, NY, Lori (Rich) Jensen of Greenville, Dani (Tony) Silvernail of Sheridan, and Cindy (Chad Gale) Raymond of Hart; son Rick (Heather ) Raymond of Sand Lake; grandchildren: Richie (Emilie) Jensen, Haily Silvernail, Kelsea DeVries, Adehna Ferguson, Joey Montalvo, and Gabby Montalvo; great grandchildren: Kylee Jensen, Aria Ferguson, Jaxon Ferguson, and Brantley Collins; brother Brian Black of Greenville; and many friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Fonzo & Wilma (Cornell) Miller; brother, Duane Miller; and half-sister, Debbie.
A Celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date.
Those who wish may donate in Dan’s name to the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame (7275 Johnson Rd., Potterville, MI 48876).
