Daniel E England
Daniel E. England, age 63, of Stanton, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 at his home.
Dan was born the son of Wade & Frances (Kee) England on October 16, 1951 in Knoxville, Tennessee and they proceed him in death along with a brother, Don England and two nephews.
He is survived by his three daughters, Cindy & Jim Gurski of Carson City, Danielle England of Sault Ste. Marie, Michelle Adams of Greenville; six grandchildren, Josh Adams, Jessica Adams, Chloe Rivett, Kegan Johnson, Jordan Scofield, Corbin Bowser; great granddaughter, Lexi Reinfelder; sister, Dolly Bentley of Hiram, Georgia; brother, Dennis England of Knoxville, Tennessee, his care giver, Sarina Strayer of Stanton and his beloved dog “Whatever”.
Dan was an avid history buff who loved to talk about his family. He liked to go fishing, especially on the big lakes and enjoyed playing golf. He was always buying random and crazy stuff and loved his half dime he got when he was younger. Dan enjoyed traveling and talking sports especially the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. Dan loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation with Dan’s family will be on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Funeral services for Dan are being held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 beginning at 11 AM with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, Georgia on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 3 PM.
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Dan’s memory the family has suggested donations be made to either Spectrum Hospice or the Association for the Blind & Deaf. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
