Dan MacLaren (Donald MacLaren)

Dan MacLaren, age 83, of Riverdale, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in Alma Michigan.

Dan enjoyed many things in life. He loved the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing, and working in his flower garden. He was also a very talented musician and when he wasn’t playing an instrument he could be found whistling or yodeling. Dan was a hard worker and retired from Frigidaire after 30 years.

Surviving Dan is his wife Mary; three sons; Wayne, Kevin, and Brian. Dan is also survived by his three sisters; Linda, Mattie, and Gloria; one brother, Ron; several aunts and uncles; and lots of extended family.

Dan was preceded in death by father, Kenneth MacLaren; mother, Mildred Sharp; and two brothers, Melvin MacLaren and Raymond Sharp.

Dan’s life is being celebrated on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.). Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 Noon with a funeral service beginning at 12 Noon.
