Daniel Mark Harmon

Daniel M. Harmon, age 64, of Stanton, formerly of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Grand Rapids at Spectrum Health Butterworth.

Dan was a huge sports fan and was always cheering for U of M, the Tigers, Redwings, and Lions, but his favorite sports teams were always the ones his grandkids were playing on and he loved cheering them on. He was a dog lover and was always up for dog sitting his "grandpups" . While he was a simple man who often kept to himself, he would talk with anyone for hours on end about sports. He was always tinkering and painting something, often borrowing tools from his son Dusty. When Dan was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. Dan loved his family and will be dearly missed by everyone.

Surviving Dan is his son, Dustin (Kati) Harmon of Stanton; daughter, Danielle (Tim) Augustine of Rockford; grandchildren, Aaron (Elayna) Augustine, Isabella Augstine, Kloi Harmon, and Chase Harmon; sisters, Barbie Stoddard of Rockford, Gloria King of Deming, New Mexico; his twin brother, Dave (Pam) Harmon of Big Rapids; sister-in-law, Dawn Harmon of Sparta; and many nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Harmon; brothers, Timothy Harmon and Stephan Harmon; grandmother, Mary Burchfield; and many other siblings.

Dan's life is being celebrated on Sunday, March 19th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.). Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM with a memorial service beginning at 3 PM.

To honor Dan, the family is asking everyone to wear their favorite sports apparel to the visitation and memorial service.
