Dale Chambers

Dale Chambers, age 88, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his home. He was born May 14, 1925 in Hillman, Michigan, the son of Colonel & Sarah (Regis) Chambers.
On May 14, 1952, Dale was married to the former Kathleen M. Westcott and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2012. Also preceding him was a grandson, Bryan Chambers and a sister, Pauline Munn.
Surviving Dale are his children, Denise & Clifton Copeland, Stanton, Daniel & Debbie Chambers, Livonia, John & Terri Chambers, Sheridan, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and two sisters, Glee Whinnery and Beverly Martenies.
Dale has been a resident of the Sheridan area since 1987 and was a faithful member of St. Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic Church in Stanton. He was a US Army and US Air Force veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan.
A Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic Church in Stanton with Father Dominic Tirkey officiating.
Visitation will also be held at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM; one hour prior the funeral mass.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial consideration can be made to St. Bernadettes Church. There will be envelopes available at the church.
