Cynthia Townsend

Cynthia K. Townsend, age 68 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully at her home under the loving care of her family and Heartland Hospice.

Cynthia was a person who appreciated and enjoyed the beauty around her. She loved being outdoors, going for walks, listening to the frogs sing at night, watching the birds fly around, and the rabbits playfully hop along. She also loved visiting with family and friends, playing cards, and going to the local restaurants.

Surviving Cynthia is her mom, Joyce Barber of Sheridan; husband, Warren Townsend of Sheridan; daughter, Lisa Jewell of Sheridan; sons, Todd Jewell of Orleans; Kendell Townsend of Crystal; brother, Mandy (Michelle) Edwards of Sheridan; several nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews and lots of cousins.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles & Isabelle Mangus; father, Earl “Mandy” Edwards, Jr., as well as several aunts and uncles.

Cynthia’s life will be celebrated at Simpson Family Funeral Homes in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.) on Friday, March 13, 2020, with visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM and funeral services beginning at 1 PM with Pastor E.J. Wolf officiating. Cynthia will be laid to rest in the Evergreen Township Cemetery.
