An avid reader, Connie loved a good romance novel and read hundreds if not thousands of them throughout her lifetime. Every morning she and her sister Nancy, would log onto their Kindles where they would play the daily solitaire challenge and would always follow up with each other to make sure they got it done so they both could earn the jewels in their crowns. Connie loved to cook and was well known for her beef stroganoff. She and her sister lived next to each other on Dickerson Lake and would often sit on their own porches watching the sunset while talking on the phone together. Connie loved to watch the boats go by and would often keep a daily log of how many she saw as well as a log of when the ice would go off the lake, a habit she inherited from her mother. She also enjoyed watching the wildlife around her home, especially the hummingbirds. Connie will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Graveside services for Connie will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 beginning at 12 Noon at DeepDale Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
