Clara M Frisbey (Clara M. McGarry)

Clara M. Frisbey, age 76 of Greenville, formally of Hunter Lake, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids.

She was born on February 23, 1939 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Howard & Wilma (Millard) McGarry, both of whom precede her in death. In addition, Clara is preceded in death by her husband Leroy and one son, Mark Welch.

Clara is survived by her children, Cynthia DeLaFuente, Chrissy Lou Lindsey, Jackie (Michael) Switzer, David Wilkins all of Greenville, Carol (Ron) Harmon of Newaygo, Laura (Mike) Cummings of Grand Haven, Marcia Mulholland of Comstock Park, Christina Welch of Death Valley, California, Rory (Kim) Frisbey of Stanton, Ronald (Laurie) Frisbey of Maine, Michael (Sandy) Frisbey of Kentucky; twenty-six Grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one brother, Norman (Marge) McGarry of Rockvale, Tennessee and her close friends at Hunter Lake.

Clara loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In her younger years, she taught Sunday school and was a Girl Scout Leader for some of her daughters. For Clara, simple things such as going for walks, working on puzzles and going out to eat brought her great enjoyment. She was an avid kitchen table card player and was always up for a game of “Hand and Foot”. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, trying their luck at the casinos and fishing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her family.

Clara’s family will be celebrating her life on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Graveside services for Clara will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Langston beginning at 2 PM. Family and friends are invited for light refreshments after the graveside service at the Pine Township hall.
