Charlie Johnson Sharp Jr., age 38, of Stanton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
Charlie loved being outdoors. He liked hunting, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. Charlie was a painter by trade who was very talented and thoroughly enjoyed his job. But above everything else, the one thing that Charlie loved the most was his family, particularly his kids, and he cherished the time he got to spend with them.
Surviving Charlie is wife, Ashley Danielle Sellers-Sharp; mom and stepfather, Edie & Keith Pace of Avinger, Texas; father, Charlie Sharp, Sr. of Joaquin, Texas; his children, Charlie Johnson Sharp III; Tyler Jay Sharp; Hunter Allen Sharp; Lily Anne Sharp, all of Stanton; sisters, Crissy & Robert Braack of Diana, Texas; Stacey Sharp of Searcy, Arkansas; brothers, Chad Sharp of Searcy, Arkansas; Brad Smith of Sheridan; PawPaw Andy Gibbs Sr. of Diana, Texas; uncles, Bobby Windham of Diana, Texas; Terry & Teresa Windham of Harleton, Texas; Andy Gibbs Jr. of Diana, Texas and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charlie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mickie Gibbs; Bob Windham; Georgia Mae Harris; Charlie Lee Sharp; stepmother, Charlotte Smith; and uncles, Jimmy Sharp; Richard Sharp, and Mart Gibbs
A memorial service celebrating Charlie’s life is being held on Tuesday, June 1st at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.), beginning at 1 PM.
