Charles N Thornburg

Charles Neal Thornburg, age 81 of Lakeview passed away at his home on Friday, May 27, 2016 under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Hospice.

Charles was born on May 15, 1935 the son of Harry & Eva (Hart) Thornburg and they precede him in death as well as a brother, Claron Thornburg of Farwell; two sisters, Lola Hanson and Patricia Varney both of Greenville and his first wife, Georgia (Riley) Thornburg of Kalkaska.

Charles worked at Frigidaire of Greenville for 35 years and he enjoyed talking to his buddies on his CB Radio.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne whom he married on May 15, 1997 in Coral; son, Thomas (Valita) Thornburg of Lakeview; daughters, Anna Twig-Thornburg of Pierson, Betty Jo (William) Corl of Greenville, Robin (Lee) Rish of Lakeview; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In honoring Charles’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no ceremony will be held.
